About Texas Total Loss

Independent valuation advocates for Texas drivers.

Insurance companies have teams of adjusters and sophisticated software designed to minimize claim payouts. The average driver experiences a total loss claim only once or twice in a lifetime and is entirely unprepared to negotiate against an industry giant.

Texas Total Loss was established to level the playing field. We act as independent appraisers under the Texas auto policy appraisal clause, bringing specialized knowledge of local vehicle markets, appraisal methodology, and Texas insurance regulations to ensure vehicles are valued accurately.

The Limits of Our Services

We believe in transparency regarding what we can and cannot do:

  • We are not attorneys. We do not provide legal advice, we do not file lawsuits on your behalf, and we do not handle bodily injury claims.
  • We only determine value. If an insurance company denies coverage entirely, claims you caused the accident, or refuses to pay based on policy exclusions, appraisal cannot force them to pay. Appraisal only sets the amount of the loss.
  • No guarantees. While we only take cases where we see clear evidence of undervaluation, the appraisal process involves an independent Umpire. We cannot guarantee a specific final settlement figure.

If you've received a low total-loss settlement offer, let us review the valuation report. We'll tell you honestly if they missed thousands of dollars in value, or if their offer is actually fair.
