How Our Review Process Works

We provide a structured, transparent evaluation of your total-loss settlement offer to determine if invoking the appraisal clause makes financial sense.

Submit Your Information

Use our secure online intake form to provide details about your vehicle, the insurance company, and the claim. Most importantly, we need the multi-page Valuation Report (usually from CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex) that the insurer used to calculate their offer.

What you'll need:

  • The insurance company's Valuation Report
  • Vehicle VIN and exact mileage
  • List of major options or packages
  • Copy of your auto policy declarations page
2

Initial Review (Free)

We analyze the insurer's valuation report looking for common errors. We check if your trim level is correct, if factory options were missed, if unfair deductions for "condition" were applied, and we verify the comparable vehicles they used against actual local market data.

What we look for:

  • Missing equipment or packages
  • Unjustified pre-loss condition penalties
  • Comparables from outside your market area
  • Mathematical errors in base valuation
3

Discuss Findings

We'll contact you to discuss what we found. We are transparent: if the insurance company's offer is fair and accurate, we will tell you, and there is no charge. If we find substantial evidence that your vehicle is undervalued, we'll explain the gap and what appraisal might achieve.

Honest Assessment: We do not take on appraisal cases unless we believe the potential increase in valuation significantly outweighs the costs of the appraisal process.

4

Decide on Appraisal

If you choose to invoke the appraisal clause and hire us as your independent appraiser, we handle the valuation dispute on your behalf. We write a formal appraisal report, negotiate with the insurance company's appraiser, and, if necessary, present the case to an Umpire to secure a binding decision.

Important deadline notice: The right to invoke appraisal is time-sensitive. If you sign a settlement release, accept a final payment, or if the salvage vehicle is disposed of at auction before appraisal is invoked, you may lose your right to dispute the valuation.
